What is EES?

EES, known as the Entry-Exit system, is an automated system that registers the biometric details of non-EU nationals. In this process, physical passport stamps are replaced by digital scans. It is a mandatory process for both UK citizens and UK residents travelling to any Schengen country for a short stay (90 days within an 180-day period).
